§ 10.04.050. Obstructing or interfering with street construction or repair work.

  • (A)

    It is unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any motor vehicle upon any public street of the City which is under construction or repair so as to obstruct or interfere with the prosecution of the construction work or repair work.

    (B)

    The City Administrator, or other City employee having charge of the work, shall post appropriate signs or take other appropriate action to give notice to motorists and adjacent property owners that parking is prohibited when, in his or her judgment, the same would obstruct or interfere with the prosecution of construction or repair work on any City street.

    (C)

    In the event any motor vehicle is parked or left standing in violation of this section, the City Administrator, or other person having charge of the work, shall have the authority to cause the removal and storage of the vehicle, and the cost thereof shall be a lien upon the vehicle and shall be paid before such vehicle is released to the owner thereof.

    (D)

    The post-tow notice and hearing shall be provided in chapter 10.18.
