§ 5.04.010. Purpose, scope, setting of fees.

    The business license and permit provisions and the fees prescribed therefor imposed by the terms of this chapter are for revenue purposes only. Neither the acceptance of the prescribed fee nor the issuance of the applicable license or permit shall be construed to constitute a regulation on any business activity or a permit to engage in any activity otherwise prohibited by law or ordinance or a waiver of any regulatory licensing requirement imposed by any other ordinance of the City.

    How fees are set. All fees associated with the business license, parking district, and late fees are established by the City Council annually by resolution. A schedule of fees, fines and penalties is kept on file in the offices of the City for review.
