§ 8.04.170. Declaration of nuisance.

  • (A)

    The acts, conditions or objects specifically enumerated and defined in sections 8.04.060 through 8.04.160 are declared to be public nuisances and such acts, conditions or objects may be abated by any of the procedures set forth in sections 8.04.180 through 8.04.220. Such acts, conditions or objects may also be subject to enforcement proceedings specified in chapter 1.07.

    (B)

    Violations of Jacksonville's Unified Development Code are declared to be public nuisances, and such acts or conditions may, without limitation, be abated through the procedures set forth within the planning chapters of the Jacksonville Municipal Code.

    (C)

    In addition to those nuisances specifically enumerated within this chapter, every other thing, substance or act which is determined by the Council to be injurious or detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare of the City is declared to be a nuisance and may be abated as provided in this chapter.
