§ 8.08.060. Property lien for City abatement of fire hazard; appeal.

  • (A)

    An owner and occupant of any tract, piece or parcel of land against which a lien has been entered under the provisions of this chapter may file a protest with the Recorder within ten days from the date of such docketing. The protest shall set forth adequate grounds for removing the lien such as removal or adequate abatement of the fire hazard.

    (B)

    The same shall be heard speedily and summarily by the City Council at its next available public meeting. If the lien docketed as aforesaid shall be confirmed, the same may thereafter be enforced by notice issued by the Recorder.
