§ 12.12.040. Permit; permittee warranty obligations.

Any person excavating on the public streets or road shall be deemed to have agreed to backfill, compact and resurface the area of excavation so that the excavation area will maintain a grade level with the grade of the surrounding area and shall be deemed to have warranted that the work done will comply with these requirements for a period of 12 months after the backfilling and resurfacing is completed. The permit issued by the Public Works Department shall advise the permittee of the warranty required in this section.
