§ 8.12.020. Responsibility and training.

  • (A)

    As directed by the Risk Manager for the City, or, in the absence of one, as directed by the Employee Safety Committee, on-going safety training for all City employees will be accomplished as directed in the Employee Safety Manual as adopted by the City Council.

    (B)

    The following are specific OSHA safety and health programs for training, but may be amended from time to time to conform to law or good practice:

    (1)

    Emergency Action, Fire Prevention Plan and First Aid.

    (2)

    Blood Borne Pathogen.

    (3)

    Confined Space Entry.

    (4)

    Hazard Communication.

    (5)

    Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout).

    (6)

    Noise Exposure and Hearing Conservation Plan.

    (7)

    Personal Protection Equipment.

    (8)

    Respiratory Protection.

    (9)

    Asbestos Maintenance.

    (10)

    Lead Compliance.

    (11)

    Ergonomics.

    (12)

    Contractor Safety Notification Policy.

    (13)

    Contractor Safety and Health Control Notification.

    (C)

    The Risk Manager for the City may include additional trainings as needed after review of accident and near-miss information as identified by the Employee Safety Committee.
